Priyanka Chopra has ruled Bollywood for years thanks to her remarkable performances and iconic roles in the industry. Recently though, her popularity has skyrocketed after a high profile relationship and subsequent marriage to the singer and band member of The Jonas Brothers, Nick Jonas.
Her marriage to Nick made them the new “it” couple of Hollywood, further solidifying her position amongst the ranks of Hollywood elite and some reports even claim she is the most sought after actress at the moment!
New Miss American Idol
One such report comes in the form of American Idol, a list of influential celebrities in the US according to The Hollywood Reporter. According to the report, Priyanka just landed on the top spot on the list, dethroning Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, who owned the position formerly for several months.
Aside from Chopra’s impressive record as an actress, sources revealed her massive fandom on social media also contributed to her recent successes including an upcoming film Sky is Pink alongside Zaira Wasim and Farhan Akhtar.
Priyanka’s Commitments
Though she is best known for her work on camera, Priyanka has revealed she is also set to venture into film-making and is planning to work off-camera produce a movie with Ma Sheela, Osho’s chief secretary, though she has remained extremely tight-lipped on this particular project.
Despite Chopra’s tight schedule as an actress, she also tries to spare some time for other charitable activities she is involved in and recently flew to Ethiopia to spend time with the locals.
Chopra shared brave and inspirational stories on her social media to spread awareness on pressing issues in the country and the quality of life in developing nations.
On Personal Matters
With all her projects and appointments lined up, there’s no doubt Chopra’s dealing with a pretty hectic schedule every day, but despite her numerous commitments, she makes sure to spend some time with her husband, their family, and friends.
Aside from attending Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner’s wedding in Las Vegas, she also appeared in her husband’s Wango Tango concert to express her support.
After the concert, Chopra and Jonas recreated some iconic scenes from Romeo and Julie and the newlyweds were having a great time taking in the romantic ambiance while dancing together.
Going to London
Recently, Chopra and Nick Jonas were spotted getting cozy in London and though sources claimed the couple went there to pay a visit to Chopra’s dear friend, Meghan Markle, these reports were eventually dismissed.
According to Priyanka, while she wished all the rumors were true, her jam-packed schedule simply didn’t permit her to meet Meghan and her son, Archie, vowing to come back to visit Meghan and her family on her next trip to England.
