Long before Meghan Markle thought of marrying Prince Harry, she was a normal celebrity who wasn’t that well-known in the industry. In 2017, her life became public when she announced she was getting married to Harry. She gave up her social media accounts, shut down her personal blog and relocated to London to prepare for her new royal life. Even though Markle moved away, she did not lose touch with her American friends, especially her colleagues in Hollywood.
Markle made a surprise visit to New York for an intimate baby shower celebration with her family and close friends. The private event took place at the Upper East Side hotel, where she reunited with the Suits cast members as well as other Amercian pals.
We guess they have a lot to catch up on since the Duchess hasn’t seen them in more than a year. Famous faces on the guest list include Serena Williams, Amal Clooney, Priyanka Chopra, Sarah Rafferty, Abigail Spencer and others. She met Williams during a 2014 charity football game, who advised her on how to deal with fame.
Wondering how Markle came to New York without people recognizing her? The Duchess of Sussex disguised herself, but her visit wasn’t as discreet as she had hoped. She moved around with a tweed baker cap that gave her some privacy but word still got out that the Duchess was in town.
