There are few things that can elevate a man’s look better than a well-groomed beard. Maybe it’s a primitive instinct but sometimes, you can’t help but see a guy with great facial hair and automatically think of him as a true manly man.
Oftentimes, the beard is not only a display of toughness but also a signature look, as there are guys who consider it part of their identity. Recently, more and more celebrities are getting into the no-shave trend and we’re excited to take a closer look at them all.
Tom Cruise, 56, Mission Impossible
Tom Cruise seems to be a fan of the clean-shaven look. Despite having a few roles with the bearded look, like in The Last Samurai in 2003, he always goes back to his boyish smooth face characteristic of Ethan Hunt, his Mission Impossible role.
We honestly think he looks great either way. Cruise, who prefers the sans beard mode, has been having a bit of a slump at the box office but he hopes to fix it with his upcoming full movie, Top Gun: Maverick. The film is a sequel to Cruise’s 1986 film.
Ben Affleck, 46, Good Will Hunting
Ben Affleck (a.k.a Batman) normally sports a smooth hairless look whenever he is between filmings. But when he is being either a caped crusader or an action movie superstar like on his upcoming film Torrance, he wears a full-on beard. And we’re not mad at it.
Affleck recently finalized his divorce from actress Jennifer Garner, but this daddy is still a hands-on dad sharing the custody of their three beautiful children. He was seen dropping them off at school sometime in May 2019 and yes, he was in full beard mode.
Brad Pitt, 55, Fight Club
Ahh, Brad Pitt, he’s what we’d call a grooming expert. You see, Brad is constantly changing his looks; he’s had long locks, short buzz, blonde, dark, you name it. What’s interesting is what he normally does with his scruff.
Brad Pitt is able to diversify his looks by only growing either a full beard or a goatee, and pulling it off flawlessly (which is kinda hard to do). Props to him for breaking the mold of beards, and for the completion of his divorce in April 2019. Brad, who will star in the new Tarantino movie, is now legally single, ladies!
