Scarlett Johansson’s Rocking an Extremely Rare Engagement Ring Worth a Fortune!

When the love of your life proposes to you, the size of the ring doesn’t matter. The value of the rock isn’t a measurement of how much the person truly cares for you, what’s important is the intention behind the move, and the fact that he is set on spending the rest of his life with you.

But in Hollywood, things happen on a grander scale, especially when it comes to proposals. From Mariah Carrey’s 35-carat sparkler to Jennifer Lopez’ 16-carat square-cut emerald, celebrities have given a whole lot of meaning to engagement rings.

The latest to join the roster is Scarlett Johansson, who recently debuted an unmissable sparkler on her ring finger.

Hard-to-Miss Accessory

Not to say that all people prefer bigger rings, it’s just that there are times when you just want to impress your partner. On the other hand, when you love someone, you want to show them just how much you value them and no amount is too pricey for your loved one.

For Saturday Night Live writer, Colin Jost, he opted for a very artsy, gigantic rock to present to his lady love, Scarlett. The actress debuted the engagement ring during the Comic-Con where she appeared as part of the Marvel Studios panel.

Say ‘Yes’

For the record, the couple got engaged way back May after two years of dating. Scarlett was previously married to Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds for two years, from 2008 to 2010, and to Romain Dauriac, whom she shares a daughter with.

Although it was confirmed that she indeed gave her sweet “yes” to Colin months ago, her publicist Marcel Pariseau said that they were yet to decide on a wedding date.

They both attended the Los Angeles premiere of Avengers: Endgame, where Scarlett plays Black Widow who unfortunately met her demise in the latest film of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, recently.

The chic actress rocked a silver strapless dress while her man looked dapper in his suit, and while they packed on PDA at the red carpet, we didn’t see an engagement ring – to be fair, we wouldn’t have seen it because the 34-year-old sported an attention-grabbing Infinity Stones-inspired accessory on her left hand.

Ring’s Design and Price

So when she finally showed her presumed engagement ring at the recent public event, it got people talking, precisely because it was impossible to miss and it is not like anything you’ve ever seen before.

According to reports, the rare piece of jewelry features an 11-carat light brown diamond cut to incorporate two of the actress’ favorite shapes, oval and pear, into one egg-shaped gem, Shane Co.’s vice president of merchandise Alicia Davis said.

It is believed that Taffin’s James de Givenchy designed the ring

The diamond is impressed in a black band at its base, making it a stand-out among other celebrity engagement rings. With this design, experts guess that this is the handiwork of famous designer Hubert de Givenchy’s nephew, James de Givenchy of Taffin.

The style is a nod to the trend, Alicia explained, because the mixture of the two popular shapes can elongate the finger and give an illusion of a slender finger.

Now, for the information we’ve all been meaning to ask: how much is the massive sparkler? Alicia gave a $400,000-estimation, while SuperJeweler.com’s Andrew Fox said it could cost $200,000.

For Rare Carat, the ring may be worth $450,000 because of its clarity and intricate and one-of-a-kind design.
